Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for Damballa Failsafe
This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure Damballa Failsafe to send logs to the Log Collection Platform (LCP).

Configuring Damballa Failsafe
Login to the Failsafe Management console as an Administrator.
2. From the top menu, choose System > Integration Settings.
3. On the Integration Settings page, go to the Syslog tab.
4. Configure the following Syslog Settings and then click Save.
a) Check the Enable Publishing to Syslog check box.
b) In the Syslog Hostname text box, specify the LCP's hostname or IP.
c) Check the Enable Syslog Header check box (this is needed only if your solution is expecting a Syslog header).The header format is designed to provide interoperability with some older BSD-based syslog [RFC 5424].
d) From the Syslog Facility drop-down list, select the appropriate value, that is, ['local4','20'].
e) From the Syslog Severity drop-down list, select the appropriate value that is, ['warning', '4']
f) In the Syslog Port (Destination) text box specify the destination port (optional). If left blank, Damballa Failsafe uses UDP port 514 for Syslog information.
g) In the Syslog Port (Source) text box, specify the source port (optional). It is recommended to leave this field blank.
5. No further configuration is required within Damballa Failsafe. Review the settings within the receiving system to ensure that data is received and fields are interpreted correctly.
LCP Configuration Parameters
