Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for SonicWALL™ Security Appliance

This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure SonicWALL Security Appliance to send logs to the Log collection Platform (LCP).

Configuring SonicWALL Security Appliance

To configure SonicWALL Security Appliance to send syslog events to the LCP, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the Log > Syslog page.

  2. Under Syslog Servers, click Add. The Add Syslog Server screen is displayed.

  3. In the Name or IP Address field, enter the LCP host name or IP address. Then, messages from the Dell SonicWALL security appliance are sent to the servers.

  4. If your syslog is not using the default port 514, enter the other port number in the Port Number field.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click Accept to save all the Syslog Server settings.

Note: The collector supports only default Dell SonicWALL Syslog format.

Note: The LCP can be configured to listen on a non-standard port, please advise the Accenture MDR onboarding team if this is a requirement.
