Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for Ruckus® Zone Director

This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure Ruckus® ZoneDirector to send logs to the Log collection Platform (LCP).

Configuring Ruckus ZoneDirector
To configure Ruckus ZoneDirector from GUI, follow the steps below.
Access Ruckus ZoneDirector by the SSL/HTTPS method.
Login to ZoneDirector using admin credentials
On top of the page, select the Configure tab. Then, from the right-side menu, select Systems.
Scroll down to Log Settings.
5. For Event Log Level, select Show More.
6. For Remote Syslog, provide the IP address of LCP server.
7. In the Remote Syslog Advanced Settings section, keep all options as default.
8. Click Apply.
To configure syslog forwarding for Ruckus ZoneDirector via CLI, follow the steps below.
SSH to Ruckus ZoneDirector using the administrator credentials.
After authentication, type the following commands in order to get config privilege on the ZoneDirector.
* Enable
* Config
* System
* Syslog
3. To set the syslog server address, use the following command: server <IP-ADDR>
4. To configure the event log level, use the following command: event-log-level <EVENT LOG LEVEL>
Note: It is mandatory to use log-level 3 for selecting Show More to send all logs.
5. To exit and save the configuration, type end
6. Review the commands and the output in the given sequence:
ruckus# config
ruckus(config)#system
ruckus(config-sys)# syslog
ruckus(config-sys-syslog)# server X.X.X.X
The syslog settings have been updated.
ruckus(config-sys-syslog)# event-log-level 3
The syslog settings have been updated.
ruckus(config-sys-syslog)# end
The syslog settings have been updated. Your changes have been saved.
ruckus(config-sys)#
LCP Configuration Parameters
Table 1-1: The Ruckus ZoneDirector event collector(Syslog-3787) properties to be configured by MDR are shown in the table.

IP Address | Ruckus ZoneDirector IP address | Logging device IP address mentioned in the Pre-Installation Questionnaire (PIQ). Note: If the device sends logs using multiple interfaces, contact the Accenture MDR onboarding team. |
Port Number | 514 | The default port for UDP. Note: Custom port is not supported. This collector does not support Syslog Director/Relay or Syslog Aggregator based environment due to device limitation. |
