Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for RuckusĀ® Zone Director

This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure RuckusĀ® ZoneDirector to send logs to the Log collection Platform (LCP).

Configuring Ruckus ZoneDirector

To configure Ruckus ZoneDirector from GUI, follow the steps below.

  1. Access Ruckus ZoneDirector by the SSL/HTTPS method.

  2. Login to ZoneDirector using admin credentials

  3. On top of the page, select theĀ ConfigureĀ tab. Then, from the right-side menu, selectĀ Systems.

  4. Scroll down toĀ Log Settings.

5. ForĀ Event Log Level, select Show More.

6. ForĀ Remote Syslog, provide the IP address of LCP server.

7. In theĀ Remote Syslog Advanced Settings section, keep all options as default.

8. ClickĀ Apply.

To configure syslog forwarding for Ruckus ZoneDirector via CLI, follow the steps below.

  1. SSH to Ruckus ZoneDirector using the administrator credentials.

  2. After authentication, type the following commands in order to get config privilege on the ZoneDirector.

* Enable

* Config

* System

* Syslog

3. To set the syslog server address, use the following command:Ā server <IP-ADDR>

4. To configure the event log level, use the following command:Ā event-log-level <EVENT LOG LEVEL>

Ā Note: It is mandatory to use log-level 3 for selecting Show MoreĀ to send all logs.

5. To exit and save the configuration, typeĀ end

6. Review the commands and the output in the given sequence:

ruckus# config

ruckus(config)#system

ruckus(config-sys)# syslog

ruckus(config-sys-syslog)# server X.X.X.X

The syslog settings have been updated.

ruckus(config-sys-syslog)# event-log-level 3

The syslog settings have been updated.

ruckus(config-sys-syslog)# end

The syslog settings have been updated. Your changes have been saved.

ruckus(config-sys)#
