Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for Cylance Protect™

This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure Cylance Protect devices to send logs to the Log collection Platform (LCP).

Configuring Cylance Protect

The agent uploads it logs to the cloud console which then streams the logs to the LCP using syslog.

  1. Log in to the Cylance console.

  2. Navigate to Settings > Application > Integration section

  3. Configure the server settings, as follows:

  • Select checkbox for Syslog/SEIM.

  • Select Threats and Memory Protection as default for the Event Types. 

 ​Note: Select checkbox for any features for which logs are required. 

  •  Chose Other from the SIEM dropbox.

  • Select TCP from the Protocol dropbox

  • Enable the TLS/SSL checkbox.

  • Enter the LCP IP address in the IP/Domain textbox.

  • Enter the Port value as 601 by default.

  • Select the Severity level as Informational (6)

  • Select the Facility as Internal (5)

  • Customer Token: <Customer Cylance device CI search code>

 Note:  Accenture MDR will share the Device CI Search code to fill the customer Token.

4. Click OK.

5. Click Apply.

LCP Configuration Parameters

Specify the IP addresses or names of windows host name mentioned in the Pre-Installation Questionnaire (PIQ).

Possible values: IP, hostname, comma separated list of hostnames, or 'ANY', 'any', or '*' .

MDR recommended signatures processed by the Cylance Protect log collector.

The default port number for syslog.
