Configuring Radware Appwall WAF

Device Configuration Steps :

Note: External logging configuration using syslog does not include original HTTP Request Data in syslog event details. In order to include original HTTP request in event, MxDR recommends to configure external logging using Vision Reporter rather than syslog.

AppWall Standalone using Vision Reporter:

  1. Configure Vision Reporter

    1. Navigate to Configuration -> Services -> Vision Support -> Vision Reporter

    2. Check “Send Events to Vision Reporter

    3. Configure Vision Reporter Address and Port.

    4. Configure security protocol UDP or TCP

    5. Check “Send Replies to Vision Reporter” in case HTTP Response Data logging is required.

Configuration for Integrated AppWall in Alteon using Vision Reporter (include HTTP Request Data in event details):

  1. Navigate to Configuration -> Security -> Web Security -> Vision Reporter

  • Check “Send events to Vision Reporter

  • Configure new external syslog server.

  • IP and port

  • Configure security port type TCP/UDP

Note: In Vision Reporter module you can only add one IP of External SIEM. MxDR Recommends to send logs via Vision Reporter only.
