Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for Trellix EDR

This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure to Trellix EDR allow logs to the Log Collection Platform (LCP).

Configuring of Trellix EDR

Below information's are required to retrieve the EDR Threat Events Trellix Developer Portal using API:

Follow the below steps to get above parameters.

  1. Log in to Trellix Developer portal

  2. Navigate to the Self service menu and click API Access Management

  3. Copy API key from the API Access Management section.

  4. On the Credential configurations section, enter your Client Type (Please give any name, example - Accenture_MxDR) and under APIs select EDR Threats and select GET under Method Types.

  5. Click Request which will submit the request to the Trellix(vendor) and will take a few days for the vendor to review and approve.

  6. Once the Client Type which we created is approved by the vendor, please click Generate to get the Client ID and Client Secret.

  7. Share API key obtained from step 3, Client ID and Client Secret from step 6 to MxDR along with API/Gateway URL.
