To facilitate secure communication and align with our best practice, we strongly encourage the use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) between your security devices and our Adaptive MxDR platform for event forwarding.
While we understand that TLS support may not be available on all devices, if your devices do support TLS communication, we recommend utilizing port 6514 for seamless integration.
In some cases, the upgraded version of the device might incorporate TLS support without prior notice. If you come across such a scenario or for further assistance in configuring TLS, we kindly ask you to reach out to your dedicated Adaptive MxDR Service Delivery Lead.
Device Configuration
Pre-Requisites
An iLO License that supports this feature should be installed.
Logged User should have Configure iLO Settings privilege.
Authentication Failure Logging setting should be enabled to get Authentication Failed logs.
To Configure and Enable Logging Criteria
The Authentication Failure Logging settings allows you to configure logging criteria for failed authentications and it should be enabled.
Log in to iLO Web Interface.
Click Security > Access Settings.
Update the Authentication Failure Logging by selecting Enabled-Every Failure setting.
Click Apply.
To allow iLO to send event notification messages to CyberHub
Log in to iLO Web Interface.
Click Management > Remote Syslog.
Click Enable iLO Remote Syslog
Enter the following information:
• Remote Syslog Server - <CyberHub IP Address>
• Remote Syslog Port - 514To send a test message to the configured syslog server, click Send Test Syslog. This button is visible only when iLO Remote Syslog is enabled.
Click Apply.
