AWS Elastic Load Balancer

About the Device

Following are the three types of Elastic Load Balancing:

  • Classic Load Balancer

Classic Load Balancer provides basic load balancing across multiple Amazon EC2 instances. It is intended for applications that were built within the EC2-Classic network.

  • Application Load Balancer

Application load balancing identifies incoming traffic and directs it to the right resource type. Application Load Balancer simplifies and improves the security of your application, by ensuring that the latest SSL/TLS ciphers and protocols are used at all times.

  • Network Load Balancer

A Network Load Balancer functions at the fourth layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model. It can handle millions of requests per second.
