About the Device
ArubaOS is the Operating System for Mobility Controllers and Mobility Access Switches. It performs Security and System Administration, as well as hardware based routing and switching. ‘Aruba Wireless IPS’ (RFProtect) protects network infrastructure from wireless threats. It monitors wireless activity for signs of internal or external intrusion attempts and other malicious wireless attacks.

To facilitate secure communication and align with our best practice, we strongly encourage the use of Transport Layer Security (TLS) between your security devices and our Adaptive MxDR platform for event forwarding.
While we understand that TLS support may not be available on all devices, if your devices do support TLS communication, we recommend utilizing port 6514 for seamless integration.
In some cases, the upgraded version of the device might incorporate TLS support without prior notice. If you come across such a scenario or for further assistance in configuring TLS, we kindly ask you to reach out to your dedicated Adaptive MxDR Service Delivery Lead.
Device Configuration
Aruba generates logs in bsd-standard syslog format. To configure the device to forward syslog events to CyberHub follow the steps provided below:
Log in to the Aruba controller Web interface as an administrator.
Click Configuration.
In Configuration, click System.
Click Logging.
To add a logging server, click + in the Syslog Servers section
Add the IP address of the CyberHub
In the category section keep blank.
In the Logging Facility section select local6
Select Logging Level informational
In the Format section select default format bsd-standard
Click SubmitÂ
Click Pending changes and Deploy changes
