Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for Sophos UTM

This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure Sophos UTM to send logs to the Log collection Platform (LCP).

Configuring Sophos UTM Point Product

To configure the Sophos UTM point product to send syslog events logs, follow the steps below.

  1. Login to the Sophos UTM Web console as an Administrator.

  2. From the left-bottom pane, go to Logging & Reporting > Log Settings. The Local Logging tab is enabled by default (Figure).

  3. Go to the Remote Syslog Server tab and slide the button in front of it to enable the tab (Figure).

  4. After enabling the tab, on the Remote syslog settings page, in the Syslog servers box, click the + (Add Syslog Server) icon or click the Edit icon to modify the Syslog Server settings.

  5. In the Add Syslog Server box, specify Name, Server and Port information of the Syslog server or LCP. Then click the Save and Apply buttons.

  6. In the Remote syslog buffer field, specify the default value as 1000.

  7. In the Remote syslog log selection field, select the following feature logs to be sent to the remote Syslog server:

  • Advanced Threat Protection

  • Configuration Daemon

  • Firewall

  • Intrusion Prevention System

  • Local Logins

  • Logging Subsystem

  • System Messages

  • User Authentication Daemon

  • Web Filtering

8. Click Apply to save the changes.
