Accenture MDR Quick Start Guide for Tripwire® Enterprise

This quick start guide will help Accenture MDR customers configure Tripwire® Enterprise to send logs to the Log Collection Platform (LCP).

 Note: The Tripwire Enterprise point product forwards logs using TCP mode only. The LCP can collect logs in both TCP and UDP protocols if the logs are received through a syslog relay.

 Configuring Tripwire Enterprise

To enable event logging to the LCP, follow the steps below.

  1. Specify the Tripwire Enterprise Server address in the web browser. For instance, https://<ipaddress/hostname:port>

  2. Login to the Tripwire Enterprise web console as an Administrator.

  3. To edit the log management settings, click the SETTINGS tab on the top menu bar.

  4. From the left pane, go to Tripwire System and click the Log Management option.

5. On the Log Management Preferences page, you can configure Tripwire Enterprise to forward all new TE log messages through TCP to the LCP server by setting log management preferences as follows:

Select this check box and specify the following values:

TCP host - The IP address or hostname of the LCP.

TCP port - The port on which the log messages sent through TCP. To test the configuration, click the Test Connection button.

6. Click Apply to save the changes.
